Autism Hope for Families, Inc. is a non-profit organization and support group in Southeast Kansas. It was founded by Nikki and Philip Jacobs in 2012, after their daughter was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, at 21 months old. Autism Hope for Families, Inc. helps families, in Kansas, with a support group, finding services, financial support, fundraising, and raising public awareness for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Our hope is to work collaboratively with families to raise funds, in Kansas. These fund would go towards grants to start Autism/Behavioral Centers, award communication devices to children and adults with ASD, educate people about autism and treatments, grant scholarships to individuals with ASD, provide continuing education opportunities in such areas as first responders and family safety training, and to give families the opportunity to have a larger support system. So many families do not get the help they need for their children, due to lack of funding and services. Autism Hope for Families want to help these families that desperately need help. People with ASD can get better.
We are Nikki, Philip, & Raylin. This Youtube video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSYBotUU_T8, shows how our story began. Raylin joined two sisters, Sumer and Emma. Autism has been a blessing and a battle for our family, all in one. Many hard days, that in the end have strengthened our faith in God, our family, and love for each other and many families that have this difficult road to travel. There is hope in Autism.
Stay strong,
Autism Hope for Families
